Halsey wrapped up her Badlands: The Final Installment Tour in the famous Madison Square Garden stadium in New York City on August 13th, 2016.
CelebMix had the pleasure of attending the show and sharing the glorious moment with her.

The day kicked off when fans got to experience a New York City scavenger hunt to find backstage passes to meet Halsey, in significant areas of the city that meant something to her; while other fans got to try the delicious Badlands pizza.
We love how Halsey still gives free pizza to fans; it will always be adorable and it will never grow old.

When the doors opened at 7pm though, that’s when our excitement really started to build up.
Thousands of fans (18,000+ to be exact) piled into the stadium, immediately hitting up the nearest merch and concession stands they could find.

And at 9:15, Halsey finally hit the MSG stage and wowed the crowd with her amazing talent (as usual) as she came in with “Gasoline”.
Although three songs in, she requested to start over due to technical difficulties.
“3 songs in and all the instruments and tracks started failing. So we started over. Because MSG wasn’t going to be anything but perfect.”
-Halsey’s statement on Tumblr
We totally understand why she would want to start the show over from the start!
Over the course of the night, fans attending the show got to experience an incredible night and witnessed a ton of surprises.

Halsey explained her journey and how she got started as a musician (thanks to seeing Ed Sheeran live at MSG); she may have shed a few tears which definitely made us cry.
Even hinting to the crowd how that very night she wrote “Ghost”, and the crowd even sang the beginning of the song back to her.
But that was not all.
Halsey brought out The Chainsmokers on stage with her to sing their latest single “Closer”.
Yes, we know what you’re thinking. WHAT?!
It was definitely quite a surprise to many fans attending the show but not us, because we had the sneaky suspicion that something big like that would happen due to The Chainsmokers being in town.

Did we mention that the stadium lit up for “Drive”?
Fans threw their phone flashlights in the air and sang the lyrics to “Drive” with Halsey making the night that much more special.

The party only picked up from there as she performed more songs from her debut album and EP, which ended with smoke and confetti going everywhere.
Several fans in the general admission sections definitely had fun with the confetti, as they continued to throw handfuls of it up in the air during “Young God”.

And at the end of the show? There was a very special announcement waiting for fans once Halsey got off stage.
We mentioned how it was the end of the Badlands era right?
Well, there’s a new era coming and we’re just going to have to see what that is in the kingdom.

Quite an emotional night right?
