Craig David Misses First Gig In 15 Years

We all know how annoying it is when flights get delayed or cancelled, but musicians including Craig David aren’t exempt from these situations.

2016 has been a huge year for the solo artist, with his comeback career being backed by Insanity Records (A Sony UK and Insanity Management venture). He’s been performing numerous live shows, one of which was set to be Boardmasters Festival in Cornwall this weekend. However, due to numerous travel issues, he was left unable to attend, making this his first missed show in 15 years.

I'm so sorry guys. Completely gutted about this one. Was so excited to perform last night @boardmasters & tried everything to get there after the plane was cancelled.? Unfortunately it ended up being something out of my control. The schedule wasn't tight and everything would have been fine with ample time to get to the festival with time to spare when i arrived. If we had known it was going to be cancelled when i arrived at the airport in London in the afternoon there may have been a chance of getting there by other means, but being told by the airline that everything is on time, then 1 hour later "everything is fine" after they announced the 1st delay and then 1 hour later it's cancelled completely messed that plan right up. So sorry guys. ? Hope you still enjoyed the festival & i get the chance to perform next year.

Taking over his headline slot on the Unleashed Stage was Kano, who we’ve been told did a sterling job at filling such big boots.

But don’t worry if you were one of the many who were hoping to catch his set, he won’t be walking away from the festival commitments and has assured fans he’d love to appear next year!

Were you at Boardmasters Festival and hoping to see his appearance? Tweet us @CelebMix and tell us all about your weekend at the festival!
