Welsh born and Cardiff based singer/songwriter Danielle Lewis is gearing up for the release of her eagerly anticipated EP ‘Live Forever’. The new record sees Lewis emerging from the shadows to give her hauntingly delicate vocals the exposure they so richly deserve.
The new EP will be released on July 6th alongside the title track. Speaking of the song ‘Live Forever’, Danielle Lewis says: “Live Forever is achingly honest. I have put my whole life into this record exploring a deeper side to my song writing and using this process to try and discover more about myself”. When listening to the track you can feel the raw emotion of the single, and this is a quality that only contributes to the Elysian nature of the single”.
The ‘Live Forever’ record features other lead track ‘Lead Me to The Sea’, which is a song about the desire to travel and features a guitar part that perfectly conjures up the sounds of rolling waves. It also includes additional standout tracks ‘Hollywood Sunshine’, a delicate and powerful nod to the 1950’s, ‘Pin up Lady’, an upbeat track with a pulsating acoustic vibe, and ‘Ace of Hearts’, which is a song that Danielle herself said was ‘”he boldest and biggest swerve in direction for me”.
The EP in its entirety showcases a real versatility, no two songs sound alike owing to Danielle’s extensive vocal range and ability to adapt to different musical styles and genres easily.Speaking about the records’ style, Lewis says: “I feel I am leaving this EP as I hope to begin the next body of work, but I am leaving a door wide open ready for where I may go next time”
The new collection of tracks have been produced by Secondson, Danielle respected his perfectionism and the intricate sophistication of his previous releases, saying “I feel the songs I wrote for Live Forever warranted his attention. His production has given my songs dignity, and our collaboration has strengthened my authenticity as a person and an artist.”
