Effee is the solo music project of singer-songwriter and keyboardist Fran Litterski. Adding on to her impressive artistic career as a writer and member of Ohio indie-pop group, Kid Runner and a touring member of Magic Man, Effee has now started to release work that is authentically and truly her own.
Having spent the last six years or so in the background Effee is now making it clear that she is readier than ever to take the spotlight with her riveting solo sound.
Inspired by the indie-pop bands she performs with around the world and augmented by her undeniable songwriting talents, with her first two singles, ‘Work It Out’ and ‘Lying’ Effee fused intimate and raw lyrics into a seemingly organic electronic soundscape.
And she is back with new release ‘You & I’. The track has been written in collaboration with Sam Vanderhoop Lee (Magic Man), and is a mellow synth-pop ballad that delves into the tender feelings of a first love. It’s a song that builds from a tentative request into a lush sonic wilderness, ‘You & I’ presents a satisfying balance between Effee’s sentimental vocals and the pulsating rhythmic harmonies in the instrumental.
Describing the meaning behind ‘You & I’, Effee says “It’s all about the beginning of a new relationship when all you can think about is that person. And when you’re together, nothing else matters.” Both lyrically and sonically, the track builds from a minimal rhodes backbeat to a massive synth and vocal explosion in the final chorus.”
