Singer and song-writer Emily Middlemas has unveiled her captivating new track, titled ‘Broken Record.’
Taking to her official Twitter account to share news of the track’s release, Emily explained that she penned the track ‘when I was 14 years old and it is extremely special to me.’
The single has a relaxed vibe throughout, with a particular emphasis on a guitar sound throughout the track. As with her previous releases, which include ‘Lost & Found’ and ‘Habit,’ each track showcases her exceptional vocals.
In a video released on to her social media accounts, the meaning behind the track was further explained to listeners. When Emily was fourteen years old, she went through her first break-up and she ploughed all the emotions she felt into the song. The track focuses on the theme of self-love, finding love within yourself before having the capacity to love anyone else.
‘Self love and care is so important. I have finally found myself.’
