Trousdale has garnered immense support from fans all over the world ever since they began sharing music on streaming platforms back in 2020. Over the past few years, the trio has experienced several career highlights, including a recent performance at Bonnaroo and Los Angeles’ legendary El Rey Theatre. Most recently, they released the deluxe version of their debut album, Out Of My Mind, which includes new tracks as well as covers of One Direction’s “Night Changes” and Fleetwood Mac’s “The Chain.” In an exclusive interview with CelebMix, Quinn D’Andrea, Georgia Greene, and Lauren Jones of Trousdale open up about the deluxe version of Out Of My Mind, touring, and more.
What can you tell us about your brand new music video for “Point Your Finger” and the creative process behind it?
Lauren: “Point Your Finger” is one of my favorite songs on the album. It’s about a woman who knows her worth and isn’t afraid of causing a little chaos. The music video takes these themes and projects them onto three vigilantes who pay a visit to a local billiards bar. It’s all fun and games until the lies start to catch up with them.
Why did you decide to choose “Point Your Finger” for a new video instead of another track?
Lauren: We actually weren’t planning on putting out another music video! Our good friend and video editor Colton Stock actually pitched us the idea to try his hand at directing. We were so blown away by the concept that we decided to go for it!
You just released the deluxe version of “Out of My Mind.” What makes the deluxe version different?
Quinn: We are so excited for the deluxe version of Out Of My Mind to come out! We ended up adding 7 new tracks to the album and it includes a combo of some live songs, some features, and something a little stripped down as a fun addition!
You recently supported The Teskey Brothers on your. What was that experience like?
Lauren/Georgia/Quinn: Yes – we actually just finished our stint opening for The Teskey Brothers! Their whole team are such lovely and talented people. We hope we get the chance to hit the road again with them sometime in the future!
Are there any songs you always look forward to performing live for your fans?
Georgia: Some of our fans who’ve been following us from the start have grown connected to the songs from our first EPs, so it’s very special for us to continue to spread the message of those songs on tour. We also love playing our newer songs, specifically “Out Of My Mind,” “Point Your Finger,” and “If I’m Honest.”
And you all just performed at Bonnaroo! What was that experience like?
Georgia: It was so wonderful. Being able to play a festival like Bonnaroo was such a dream for us all and we were all trying to stay as present as possible for that very special achievement in our career. Jumping from press to rehearsals to performances had to be the most rockstar-adjacent level of busyness we’ve experienced thus far, and ending our day with the Emo Superjam was an honor and a blast. Looking back on pictures and videos makes the day feel even more magical!
Are there any other festivals you would love to perform at in the future?
Lauren: The big ones are milestone markers for sure: Coachella, ACL, Lollapalooza, and Gov Ball. I’ve also heard amazing things about Newport Folk Fest.
What else can fans look forward to seeing or hearing from Trousdale soon?
Quinn: We’re hopping off of our summer tour right now, and we’ll be getting back to writing and recording some new music that we’re very excited about, along with a few more live shows through the rest of this year!
