It’s that time of year again – Capital’s Summertime Ball will be returning to Wembley Stadium on Saturday June 9, and to get us in the party spirit, the first five acts have been announced.
Returning for a second year in a row, Shawn Mendes was the first artist to be confirmed earlier this morning. Fans can expect to hear his biggest hits, and who knows, he might even treat us to some new music from his forthcoming self-titled third album, due for release on May 25.
Also returning following an electric performance last year is Charlie Puth. The ‘Attention’ hitmaker is also due to release his sophomore album Voicenotes next month, so we can expect to hear plenty of exciting tracks from him.
Rudimental, best known for hits including ‘Feel The Love’ and ‘Bloodstream’, will be bringing their infectious energy to the stage. We’ve got our fingers crossed for a special performance of their recent number one hit ‘These Days’, as vocal powerhouse Jess Glynne is also on the line up.
The final artist announcement today was DJ Jax Jones. He will be bringing the feel good vibes with hits such as ‘You Don’t Know Me’, ‘Instruction’, and ‘Breathe’.
Of course, there are plenty more artists to be announced over the week so make sure you stay tuned to Capital FM from 7:30am tomorrow morning.
Tickets for this year’s Summertime Ball go on sale on Thursday (May 3) at 8am. Capital VIPs will have access to an exclusive presale which begins on Wednesday. For more information, head to the Capital FM website.
