‘Sweet About Me’ singer Gabriella Cilmi is set to perform an online concert for the Music Venue Trust Crisis Fund.
The charity focuses on improving and protecting venues during the COVID-19 pandemic as well as maintaing and organising them to ensure upcoming artists have spaces to showcase their talents. A fundraisng campaign has also been set up to help raise 1 million pounds to help save grassroots venues from permanent closures across the UK. At this time of crisis, Music Venue Trust wants to be able to offer a high level of engagement to their 650+ Music Venue Alliance members.
Cilmi shot to fame at a very young age and enjoyed chart success after chart success around the globe with hit singles including ‘On A Mission’ and ‘Warm This Winter’, a cover of the classic Connie Fisher track ‘I’m Gonna Be Warm This Winter’. She also bagged herself six ARIA Music Awards, including ‘Best Female Artist’ and ‘Single Of The Year’ in 2008.
Gabriella’s performances are never one to miss so we’re excited for her online charity gig. We’re sure to hear some of her well-known hits as well as some tracks from her latest EP ‘The Water’. Other acts set to perform on the night include Jemma Johnson, Rissi Palmer, Hannah Aldrige and many more.
Tune in this Wednesday from 8pm (GMT) via The Digital Fix’ social media pages. Donations to the fund can be donated here during the concert.
