‘Girls Night Out’ is Charli XCX’s latest single, following the equally brilliant ‘Focus’ and ‘No Angel’
Charli XCX has done it again by releasing yet another brilliant single. Since May 2018, XCX has been releasing a single every month, starting off with ‘5 In The Morning’. In June 2018, she released two singles together, ‘Focus’ / ‘No Angel’.
Following suit of the two previous singles, ‘Girls Night Out’ is another track fans have been dying for Charli XCX to release, she has been performing it live since 2016. The track is produced by SOPHIE, as many of XCX’s songs are including previous releases, ‘Focus’ / ‘No Angel’. Fans who attended her recent London Pop 2 show might recognise this track as she closed the night with it. Before she performed ‘Girls Night Out’, she begged for her record label to release it.
Now released, fans are hoping for the single to be big for Charli XCX. She has been slept on for far too long now, it’s about time she got the recognition she truly deserves. Within ‘Girls Night Out’, Charli XCX insists on having a night out with just her girl friends, she ends the chorus by instructing, ‘no boys, no boys’. SOPHIE’s production on the single only makes ‘Girls Night Out’ even better, with SOPHIE’s bouncy drops and punchy production, this is a single you NEED to hear.
With Charli XCX releasing monthly singles, fans are hoping this is a sign of that long-awaited third album from XCX. Her last album, ‘Sucker’ was released in 2014 and was followed by the ‘Vroom Vroom’ EP in 2016. In 2017, Charli XCX followed up with two mixtapes, ‘Number 1 Angel‘ and ‘Pop 2‘ and a single titled ‘Boys‘.
