Despite being committed judges and mentors on Australia’s ‘The Voice’, Good Charlotte frontmen, Benji and Joel Madden, are set for a busy 2016 as they prepare for the release of their first studio album since 2010.

After embarking on a 4-year-long hiatus in 2011, the band (Joel Madden, Benji Madden, Paul Thomas, Billy Martin and Dean Butterworth) announced their comeback on November 3rd, 2015.

The album, produced by John Feldmann, boasts 13 tracks including their most recent single, ”Life Changes”, which was released May 13th of 2016 and was a massive success – proving that their return to music is going to be incredible and that it was also long awaited.

Over the last 8 months, Good Charlotte has released 3 singles, titled as follows.

    • Makeshift Love
    • Life Changes
    • 40 Oz. Dream

They make up tracks one, two, and three of their album “Youth Authority“, which is defined as ‘Pop Punk’.

Set to drop on July 15th, the album enlists collaborations with Kellin Quinn of Sleeping With Sirens and Simon Neil of Biffy Clyro.  With killer collaborations and their own unique sound, this album is definitely one that is expected to climb the charts quickly and stay there long term.

The album comes after the band toured the UK as the support act for the All Time Low in February 2016.

Good Charlotte will tour the USA in 2016 before making their way back to the UK for Leeds and Reading Festivals.

If you aren’t familiar with Good Charlotte, we suggest you listen to some of their music. They’re different to any other band we’ve ever heard and don’t have a classic “punk rock” sound. We think fans of the All Time Low and 5SOS would really love their songs.

Listen to “Makeshift Love” here and see what you think!
