Grammys 2018: 5 performers we can’t wait to see

The Recording Academy has announced the first batch of performers headed to the GRAMMY 2018 stage, so we thought we’d round up our favourites so far.

    Lady Gaga

Fresh from her Joanne World Tour and ahead of her upcoming Las Vegas residency, Lady Gaga will be performing at this year’s GRAMMY Awards. Her single Million Reasons is nominated for Song of the Year, so there’s a chance she’ll perform that at the show. Little Monsters, on the other hand, are holding out for a new single, or at least the chance Gaga will give another one of her Joanne songs single treatment. Dancing in Circles, anyone?

    Pink

2017 was a big year for Pink, with her comeback album Beautiful Trauma performing well in the United States and the United Kingdom. She’s due to embark on a huge world tour later this year, but before she does, she’ll be treating us to a performance at this year’s Grammys. Pink never lets her fans down, often performing complex routines with tightropes, abseils and more; we can’t wait to see what she’s got up her sleeves for this one!

    Childish Gambino

Childish Gambino was one of our favourite acts in 2017, and we can’t wait to hear new music from him when he performs at the Grammys later this month. It remains to be seen whether he’s bringing out new music, whether he’ll be performing as part of a collaboration, or whether he’ll be singing a medley of his older hits, but we’re sure he won’t disappoint.

    Justin Timberlake

Justin Timberlake has just released his new single and has announced plans to release a new album before he heads to the Superbowl next month, so although we’ve yet to hear anything official from the JT camp, we’re pretty sure a Grammys performance will be coming. Speaking of the Superbowl performance, Justin said: “What I really want to do is take the opportunity to put together a performance that feels like it unifies,” so we’re sure he’ll be ready to tease fans with a performance of his new single as prep for the big show.

    Bruno Mars

Everyone’s favourite four-foot singer is back with a new single featuring Carbi B, and it seems like Bruno will be headed to this year’s Grammys. Again, we’ve yet to hear anything official from his camp, but with a new album just around the corner and competition from the likes of Justin Timberlake and Nicki Minaj, we’re sure Bruno will want to bring his ‘Finesse’ to the stage. Here’s hoping there’s a 90s-themed performance just around the corner.

Of course, as well as the fantastic performances lined up for this year’s GRAMMY Awards, there’s the award show itself to look forward to. It’s hard to predict which acts will take home a gong on the night, but you can get some idea of the current state of play through the William Hill Grammy Awards odds. They’ve rounded up the odds of the top four awards – Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best New Artist of the Year, and we can’t wait to see who’s victorious when the awards take place on January 28.
