Every creature in this world has a right to live peacefully. This statement goes especially to those engaged in whale hunting and disrupting the right to peaceful living for these beautiful creatures of the sea. In the Heart of the Sea is an upcoming movie based on the same theme. It is an adaptation of the book of the same name by Nathaniel Philbrick.
The storyline follows the lives of the crewmen of a shipwrecked whale hunting ship during the 1820’s. The crew not only loses the ship but is forced to pay for the injustice they bring to the creatures of the Sea by hunting them.
Directed by Ron Howard, the director of A Beautiful Mind and The Da Vinci Code, this is a movie one should surely keep their eyes on. Howard’s directorial stances have always brought in something fresh and original for the viewers and In the Heart of the Sea would be nothing less.
The ensemble star cast makes the movie more attractive for the audience. Chris Hemsworth of Thor and Snow White and the Huntsman fame; Benjamin Walker who previously portrayed the lead in Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter and Cilian Murphey previously seen in Inception have portrayed crucial roles in the movie.
This movie sends across a deep message to the viewers. All creatures have an equal right to exist in nature and when mankind tries to hunt another creation of nature, the wrath they have to endure is beyond imagination. Many might think that the presence of a whaling ship would also lead to the natural existence of a whale taking it’s revenge. Though there is an existence of a whale, the way it reacts to it’s hunters can only be seen once the movie releases.
In the Heart of the Sea is set to release on the 11th of December in North America. Till then, the trailer can be equally enjoyed.
