Ex-Casualty actor Tom Chambers is making his return to the small screen, however this time he is joining the cast of Emmerdale.
Tom has been cast as Leyla Harding’s (Roxy Shahidi) new boyfriend Clive, who Leyla first mentioned earlier on this month when she made her return to the dales.
Upon returning to the village Leyla announced the news that she was engaged to a mystery man and not trying to win back former flame David Metcalfe (Matthew Wolfenden) as most predicted.
Tom’s debut comes towards the end of the month, and no doubt, his arrival will cause some fireworks in the village.
Tom left Casualty last year after playing the character Sam Strachan for 11 years on and off.
He made his final appearance in Holby City in 2006. He guest starred on Casualty in 2016, before heading to a permanent role in February 2017 and eventually bowing out later that year.
During his career Tom has also starred in Waterloo Road and Father Brown as well as becoming the winner of Strictly Come Dancing in 2008.
