Hollie Carmen has quickly become one of our favourite upcoming artists. This year has already seen her release her debut EP Plan B and now she’s released a feisty music video for the title track.
The Plan B video which can be seen below was directed by Hedy Mowinckel and is effortlessly powerful. Showing Hollie telling the story of how she’s never going to be second best whilst looking fierce and absolutely oozing with sass. The standout lyric of the track “Never gonna be anyone’s plan B” is one which we can all relate to whether in a relationship or friendship, it’s about the moment you’ve realised your self-worth.
When we listened to Hollie’s debut EP we instantly fell in love with her soulful sound. We were taken on a journey through the four-track EP as Hollie came out on the other side as a powerful woman taking control and leaving situations behind which aren’t good for her. To read all about the release head here. In celebration of the release, the day prior to the EP release Hollie took to the stage for a sold-out at Waiting Room in Stoke Newington. This was hopefully the start of many Hollie Carmen shows taking place this year, we’re hoping we manage to head to one in 2019!
