Singer Jake Quickenden might be appearing on our TV screens again soon, as it is rumoured that the team behind Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks want to snap him up!
The former X Factor and I’m a Celebrity contestant has apparently impressed soap bosses and they are keen for him to audition for the show. Of course, Jake is undeniably a hunk and his looks would serve him well amongst the stars of Hollyoaks, as the soap is known for its good-looking, young cast.
A source told The Sun “Jake has a decent following thanks to his appearances on top reality shows. He has the accent and can act, but appreciates this can be worked on.”
Jake is yet to comment on the story, however, he thanked fans for their support this year and promised that 2016 would be even better.

Jake first made a name for himself as a singer on X Factor. He made it to the Judges’ Houses stage in 2012, before auditioning again in 2014. He then made it through to the live shows but was voted out in week 3. A month later, he made a late appearance in the I’m a Celebrity jungle, eventually coming runner-up to Carl Fogarty.
He has made guest appearances on several TV shows during this year however he also released an EP called ‘I Want You’, which reached number 10 on the UK Indie Breakers chart. He also toured across the UK in July with his ‘Laid Bare’ tour.
It is believed that Jake still wishes to pursue a music career but is open to other opportunities too. The Sun’s insider said that “Singing is Jake’s passion but the chance to appear in a top soap is appealing”.
If Jake does make the leap into Hollyoaks, he will be following in former X Factor alumnus Shayne Ward’s footsteps. Shayne recently joined the cast of Coronation Street as Aidan Connor.
