We’ve been waiting for this for so long, and we really can’t contain our excitement. The trailer to season five of The 100 is finally here. It will premiere on April 24, 2018, on The CW. The whole show is based off a book of the same name, written by Kass Morgan.
The trailer got dropped on March 14, 2018. There’s so much revealed in this almost four-minute clip that we really can’t help but be excited about its return. There seems to be a lot of new faces, alongside a lot of our favourite characters.

Season four ended with a six-year time leap which saw a spacecraft land on Earth, transforming Clarke Griffin (played by Eliza Taylor) and everyone into the grounders and these new people into the Sky People. This trailer reveals who they are whilst also seeing the connection Clarke has with nightblood girl Madi (played by Lola Flanery).
As for the group in the bunker, Octavia Blake (played by Marie Avgeropoulos) is having difficulty leading the collection of groups, which are now going by ‘Onekru’. It also seems that Clarke hasn’t been able to get to the bunker as there is too much rubble. Others seen in the bunk include Clarke’s mother Abby Griffin (played by Paige Turco), Marcus Kane (played by Henry Ian Cusick), Thelonious Jaha (played by Isaiah Washington), and Indra (played by Adina Porter).
Then there are the characters who made it into space; they’ve somehow managed to survive these past six years, although haven’t made it back down to Earth and to Clarke – however, this trailer suggests that they do since Bellamy Blake (played Bob Morley) can be seen in a scene with his sister Octavia. The other people in space include Monty Green (played by Christopher Larkin), Raven Reyes (played by Lindsey Morgan), John Murphy (played by Richard Harmon), Emori (played by Luisa D’Oliveira), and Harper McIntyre (played by Chelsey Reist), amongst others.
The season five trailer reveals who is in the spaceship that landed on Earth at the end of season four. Let’s be honest, these people are totally not friendly, that’s for sure. Leading this new group is Charmaine Diyoza (played by Ivana Milicevic), who can be seen when the door to the spaceship opens – which has the words ‘Gagarin Prisoner Transport’ written on it. These so-called prisoners, which also includes Zeke Shaw (played by Jordan Bolger), will be the aggressors, going head-to-head with some of our favourite characters.
Clarke opens the trailer with a speech to Bellamy but then ends it with one sentence, “There are no good guys.” This season looks like it’s going to be the best one yet, and we cannot wait. The whole show has been developed by Jason Rothenberg, who mentioned that this season is pretty much a reboot, turning Clarke and the others into the grounders and these new prisoners into the sky people – totally taking us back to season one but in a role reversal position.
The 100 Season Five is expected to be shown on Thursday, April 24, 2018, in the US. It will reach other countries at some point, although no confirmations have been made yet.
