Excited for Bay!

James Bay to perform at Mouth of the Tyne Festival

James Bay is the first confirmed artist to perform at Mouth of the Tyne Festival in Tynemouth. He will perform at Tynemouth Priory and Castle on 9th July, 2016. Organised by North Tyneside Council, the festival is supported by Kier, Tyne Met College and Port of Tyne.

James Bay is one of the UK’s topmost alternative pop artist. A Singer/Songwriter and Guitarist, Bay won the Brit Awards Critics’ Choice prize in 2014. This year, he’s been nominated for “Best New Artist” at the Grammy Awards.

The “Hold Back the River” hitmaker garnered attention when a fan uploaded his video on YouTube, which was later discovered by a talent scout team from Republic Records. Within a week, he was signed to their label.

Norma Redfearn, mayor of North Tyneside said:

“We are thrilled to welcome the breakthrough artist of 2015, James Bay, to North Tyneside and the Mouth of the Tyne Festival. With more exciting announcements to come, we are sure this will be one of the most popular festivals yet.”

Tickets will go on sale at 10am on Friday at:
