JP Cooper is back with a bang with his latest single ‘Sing It With Me’, featuring Norwegian artist Astrid S.

Armed with an uplifting melody and a soaring chorus, ‘Sing It With Me’ is a feel-good offering from JP which perfectly lends itself to any happy occasion. JP’s vocals make an impact during the first half of the song, before being joined by Astrid S’ heavenly vocals for the latter half. Together, their voices intertwine beautifully, creating a magical collaboration which is glorious to the ear.

Speaking about the new single, JP said: “I’m pretty sure that the reason most guys pick up a guitar and write a song for the first time, it’s usually down to a girl. ‘Sing It With Me’ is a song about just that. It’s the idea of writing a song for somebody that you didn’t quite have the courage to simply say hi to. It’s a romanticised version of that I guess, only this time the guy gets the girl (for me in reality I’d likely record it 50 times only to decide it’s terrible and scrap it).

“I wanted to feature an artist with an incredibly sweet voice and Astrid S fit the bill perfectly. I was so excited to hear her on the track and she definitely delivered. I tried my best to write a chorus that was almost as infectious as ‘Baby Shark’ but very quickly realised that it was impossible. Overall, I think it turned out pretty well.”

Take a listen to ‘Sing It With Me’ below.

‘Sing It With Me’ follows on from the success of JP’s debut 2017 album Raised Under Grey Skies, which featured the smash hits ‘September Song’ and ‘She’s On My Mind’. More recently, JP appeared on ‘One Last Song’ with Gorgon City and Yungen, and released the ‘Cheerleader’ demo.

JP will be heading out on tour across the UK and Europe this October.

6 October – The Academy, Dublin
    8 October – Academy 2, Manchester
    9 October – O2 Institute 2, Birmingham
    10 October – Heaven, London
