The Kiss Haunted House Party on Thursday 27 October 2016 was back with a bang. The star-studded line-up batted out songs we all knew and loved, all the while, dressed up in spooky Halloween costumes.
The doors opened at 6:30pm, with Philip George opening the show with a DJ set. Some proper classics got the crowd dancing, jumping, chanting and singing-a-long.
Once everyone was inside, that was when the party really got started. Tinie Tempah kicked it all off by being the first act on stage.
Watch him perform as the opener for Kiss Haunted House Party 2016 here:
Singing his hits “Not Letting Go”, “Pass Out”, “Turn the Music Louder (Rumble)” and “Miami 2 Ibiza”. What really got the party started was “Girls Like”, although a backing track was used on the chorus rather than having Zara Larsson come out and sing her parts of the song. Yet it was “Tsunami” that was pure fire from start to finish!
Mini intervals between the acts segmented the concert. DJs The Dixon Brothers, really got the energy building for each new act.
Look at some of the outfits the performers were wearing:
Charli XCX was next on giving us some spooky dance songs, whilst swishing her red devil tail around. She had devil horns that completed her outfit. She sang “Doing It”, new song “After The Afterparty” and “Boom Clap”.
Next up was Clean Bandit. They rocked the SSE Arena, smashing it completely as a three-piece since Neil Amin-Smith left the band. They built it up slowly but surely with “Rather Be” then their new one “Rockabye” which sounded amazing. Yet, it was the appearance of Louisa Johnson that got the crowd ecstatic. “Tears” was off the radar.
As Clean Bandit disappeared off stage, Louisa Johnson took the spotlight and gave the audience at Kiss Haunted House Party a very special treat. She sang her new single “So Good”. Unheard by the crowd, officially released the following day; it was completely magical.
Watch Louisa Johnson give an exclusive performance of “So Good”:
After some more tunes from The Dixon Brothers, Sigala appeared with some very special guests. Imani Williams was the first one up; dressed in a leopard catsuit, she sang “Say You Do”. Her powerful vocals stunned the crowd. “Sweet Lovin'” was performed next, beautifully. However, it was “Easy Love” that got the crowd wild.
WSTRN and MØ had the audience screaming. WSTRN came on with masks, totally feeling the Halloween vibe. They nailed their debut song “In2”. MØ battled through, not letting the person who threw a glow stick at her ruin her performance. “Final Song” was a total highlight. She was dressed up as Harley Quinn from Suicide Squad.
Then it was time for Zara Larsson. The female singer we’ve been waiting for. She launched with a beautiful rendition of “Never Forget You” although we totally missed MNEK’s vocals on the song. Next up was her amazingly catchy new song “Ain’t My Fault” which had a brilliant dance sequence. But, she totally knocked it out of the arena with “Lush Life”, pulling off the choreography like it was nothing.
Watch Zara Larsson perform “Lush Life” at Kiss Haunted House Party 2016:
Last on stage was Craig David, who hadn’t dressed up for the occasion, and totally looked like he had just turned up for the gig; although the screaming girls in the audience didn’t mind. He’s vocals were stunning throughout, but we truly loved his renditions of “Fill Me In” and “Nothing Like This”.
The entire night was presented by Kiss FM radio DJs Rickie Haywood-Williams, Melvin Odoom and Charlie Hedges. With the help of The Dixon Brothers, the audience were totally pumped for each new act. There was also a Scare Cam, which had cameras pan on members of the audience; some waved, some took a photo of themselves on the screen, some danced, but many dabbed.
Costume of the night totally went to Melvin Odoom, who sent out a bit of a comedic shade towards Strictly Come Dancing. His costume consisted of a mirror ball smashed onto his head. Brilliant and unique.

If anything Kiss Haunted House Party 2016 really started the Halloween festivities. It may have been slightly early, with most of the audience trekking through London in the middle of the day in their costumes; but that was totally half the fun. We’re totally up for doing it all over again, and seeing amazing acts on stage. The website promised a scare factor of 7.5 out of 10, yet there was nothing sinister, frightening, spine-tingling or even daunting. Kiss better up their game for next year.
