Lady Antebellum Release New EP ‘Live: In The Round’

Back in November of last year, country music trio Lady Antebellum released their most personal and poignant album yet in the form of ‘Ocean’.

The record took the band consisting of Hillary Scott, Charles Kelley, and Dave Haywood back to their natural roots and delivered a soulful country LP with inspirational lyrics.

And now, they’re back with a divine, stripped back EP titled Live: In The Round.

The new project sees them strip down a selection of tracks off the ‘Ocean’ tracklist and perform them totally live and acoustic.

The result is nothing short of phenomenonal and really allows the songs to shine in a different way and gives Lady Antebellum an opportunity to showcase the lyrical stories weaved throughout the tracks.

Speaking about the EP, Lady Antebellum say: “We really enjoyed getting to strip down some of our favorite songs from ‘Ocean’ and put focus on the lyrics that drew us in from the beginning. It was refreshing to get back in the studio with just the three of us and our road band. We were able to relive those initial feelings and reflect on how these songs have already made such a huge impact on our career”.

  1. “What If I Never Get Over You” | Sam Ellis, Jon Green, Ryan Hurd, Laura Veltz
  2. “Be Patient With My Love” | Charles Kelley, Dave Barnes, Ben West
  3. “What I’m Leaving For” | Sam Ellis, Micah Premnath, Laura Veltz
  4. “Boots” | Charles Kelley, Ross Copperman
  5. “Ocean” | Tofer Brown, Sarah Buxton, Abe Stoklasa

It’s always exciting for fans to hear songs stripped of their commercial production and with this record the multi-Grammy nominated act deliver a standout collection of live favourites.
