Multi-Grammy award-winning country music trio Lady Antebellum earlier month wowed their fans across the globe with the release of their breathtakingly stunning new single ‘Pictures. The track tells the heartbreaking story of how a couple’s relationship was falling apart despite the happiness they shared through their photographs.
It acts as a stark reminder that anyone can paint the perfect life via social media and selfies, but the reality can be somewhat different behind the filters and sweet captions.
Speaking about the track when it first dropped, lead vocalist Hillary Scott said: “We live in a world right now, especially with social media, where everyone’s lives can look happy and pretty. We wrote this song to reflect on the reality that things are more complex than that. As good as something might look in brief moments, there are so many layers to who people really are and what’s really going on. I love the juxtaposition of how this song’s lyrics dig in while feeling laid-back and groovy.”
And now the trio consisting of Hillary along with Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood have shared the summary lyric video for ‘Pictures’. The clip shows a scrapbook adorned with the words “our happy relationship” and plays out the relationship from happy memories to thundery storms as the pair break-up despite how happy they looked in ‘Pictures’.
