Alt-pop singer-songwriter Lea G releases her new single, “HAPPY FAMILIES,” presaging her upcoming third EP, SEPARATION ANXIETY, slated for release on November 17.
Talking about the song, Lea G shares, “I wrote ‘HAPPY FAMILIES’ about the effects of pretending everything is fine when you know that it is not. Spending years brushing things under the carpet had me feeling empty and with no way out. It is so hard to confront what you know has to be talked about and felt, but even harder to play Happy Families when you know it´s reached a point of no return. This song is super personal to me, and I hope it gives you the strength to start healing from your past.”
Written with Nashville songwriter Blake Densmore, and produced by BROOKFIELD, “HAPPY FAMILIES” follows on the heels of “EMPATH” and “BEFORE I FALL,” both of which resulted in multiple BBC Introducing Radio Plays, features in elite media outlets, and placement on numerous editorial playlists on streaming platforms.
