Sophie Simmons, daughter of Gene Simmons and Shannon Tweed, has teamed up with The Galaxy to deliver an electric new track called ‘Dangerous’.
No stranger to the entertainment industry, Sophie’s career has been blossoming for a number of years after she first appeared in Family Jewels. Most recently, she hosted Refinery 29’s Body Image School digital series and became the face of Adore Me’s “all women campaign”, alongside running a child abuse advocacy centre called Sophie’s Place in Vancouver. However, she is now following in her father’s footsteps by carving out a music career.
‘Dangerous’ sees Sophie pair up with Dutch DJ/production duo The Galaxy, and is taken from their forthcoming third EP. The track is a hypnotic EDM offering which is captivating from the off. ‘Dangerous’ has an infectious vibe which will make you want to dance your troubles away, whilst Sophie’s incredibly strong vocal shines throughout
Speaking about the track, Sophie said: “I first listened to the demo of the track while driving to another session and I had to pull over because all the lyrics and melody came immediately. I tracked exactly what I sang into my phone in the car then. Can’t wait to meet these babes in real life!”
The Galaxy added that the collaboration was a quick process. “She immediately knew what we were going for. It only took her two sessions to nail the complete idea and vocals.”

Prior to collaborating with The Galaxy, Sophie featured on Yellow Claw’s ‘Home’. She’s also showcased her talent through covers of ‘Kiss Me’, ‘Ego’, and ‘Take Me To Church’, all of which have shown that she is a force to be reckoned with. Sophie has since been busy in the studio working on her EP which is due for release later this year.
