Swedish superstar Loreen makes a triumphant return to this year’s Eurovision success with seductive new single ‘Is It Love’.
Showcasing the ‘Tattoo’ singer’s trademark vocals, backed with cinematic production, the track drops as the 39-year-old prepares to embark on a sold-out UK and European tour to celebrate Eurovision success and her catalogue of hits.
The single sees Loreen strongly nod to her Moroccan Berber roots as she intertwines that inspiration with her penchant for a big pop track.
Loreen said: “’Is It Love’ was born from a place of seeking clarity, it’s a song describing and contemplating a love that’s so deep but at the same time filled with confusion.
“It’s about realising that to create a deeper understanding of yourself you need to accept the duality of life, that distortion and clarity goes hand in hand and are equally as important. And to experience the depth of true love, both to the self as well as to others, you have to accept and experience the depth of pain.”
The single comes with a co-write from MTHR, Dag Lundberg and Maria Wright, who have worked with Scandinavian stars including Zara Larsson, NEIKED and NOTD. Loreen mixes it with big names on vocal production and mixing too with Harry Styles and Justin Bieber collaborators Abin Nedler and Josh Gudwin.
Having romped to success at Eurovision in May, Loreen’s winning track ‘Tattoo’ hit the number one spot in 18 countries and stayed in the UK Official Singles Chart for more than two months after taking the song contest crown.
