Danish soul-pop group Lukas Graham has cancelled its first-ever Australian run due to frontman Lukas Forchhammer’s struggle with “extreme exhaustion”.
The band, who shot to fame last year with the release of their single “7 Years”, were set to play Tokyo’s Ebisu Liquid Room tomorrow night (August 10th), before beginning a string of Australian shows. This show, alongside performances at Melbourne’s Matt Watt’s (August 13th) and Sydney’s Metro Theatre (August 16th) have all been cancelled. “Lukas is suffering with extreme exhaustion and is unable to perform the shows,” expresses promoter Frontier Touring in a statement about the cancellations.
Earlier this year, Lukas Graham set the longest streak at No. 1 by a Danish band in the UK and Australia with “7 Years”. The group also topped the charts worldwide with the release of their self-titled third album.
Lukas Graham is set to be back on the road in Canada this November. You can find full tour dates here.
