GRAMMY Award winner Miguel is back with the a new track called ‘Funeral’, the title track and first single from his forthcoming EP.
Written and produced by Miguel, Deion Gill, Alekaei Savchenko and Arutiun Tamamian, ‘Funeral’ is a step in a different direction for the ‘Sky Walker’ star and is just a taste of what’s to come from the artist. He is set to continue releasing new music until the EP is released in full later this winter.
Speaking about the direction of his Funeral EP, Miguel said: “I’m releasing more music all the way into the new year but ‘Funeral’ is the perfect song to get it started. I’ve been exploring darker tones and themes for some time, this song whets the imagination for what’s to come.”

‘Funeral’ marks Miguel’s first official release since his 2017 album War & Leisure. The album became the artist’s third debut number one on the Billboard R&B Albums chart. Since then, the artist has released collaborations including ‘Remind Me To Forget’ with Kygo, ‘Light Me Up’ with RL Grime and Julia Michaels, and released an EP called Te Lo Dije featuring Spanish versions of some of his War & Leisure tracks.
