Monsta X is the latest K-pop group to announce a world tour, following the tour announcements of BLACKPINK, BTS, and NCT 127. The group will kick off their ‘We Are Here’ world tour this April in Seoul, Korea before heading off to cities such as Bangkok, Sydney, Melbourne, London, and more.
The group will also perform in six cities across the United States, starting with Dallas on July 25th and concluding with Los Angeles on August 10th. Venues are expected to be announced at a later date.
The tour is named after the group’s latest comeback for their album, Take.2 ‘We Are Here,’ which introduced the single, “Alligator,” as well as the Steve Aoki collab, “Play It Cool (Korean Version).”
As well as their upcoming tour, Monsta X is expected to perform their new music at the iHeartRadio Music Festival this September in Las Vegas. The lineup includes Juice WRLD, Maren Morris, Billie Eilish, Old Dominion, Zara Larsson, CNCO, Brett Young, and Fletcher, with Monsta X being the first K-pop group to ever perform at the festival.
The group’s recent U.S. performances demonstrate how the group is breaking into the Western music industry. Just last year, Monsta X made history as the first K-pop group to perform on the Jingle Ball tour. In an exclusive for CelebMix, the group said they felt “so glad” to be breaking barriers in music. We can’t wait to see them on their ‘We Are Here’ world tour.
