The EP embraces five versions of “Higher Ground” – Club Mix, Radio Mix, Alternate Mix, Original Mix, and Dub Mix.
Highlights include the Club Mix, riding a galvanizing beat topped by a sparkling piano and the delicious vocals of R&B, soul singer Joaquina Daphaney, while the Alternate Mix features radiant vocal harmonies, adding to the tune’s depth and dimension.
The Dub Mix opens on a thumping kick-drum laced with syncopated percussion. An extended bassline and percolating colors give the tune glowing washes of lustrous textures.
“Higher Ground” struts with alluring energy and a contagious rhythmic pulse, all crowned by the deluxe, luscious tones of Joaquina Daphaney.
