As Marvel fanatics know by now, nothing is ever set in stone right up until the cameras start rolling but the latest news regarding fans’ favourite baddie Loki doesn’t sound good at all! According to Tom Hiddleston, Thor: Ragnarok may be the last film that will feature the villain.

The British actor hinted that his days as the trickster god were limited in a candid interview with The Daily Beast. He discussed many of his upcoming projects, particularly his recent stint in the successful miniseries The Night Manager as well as Ben Wheatley’s High-Rise and the Hank Williams biopic I Saw the Light.

What can we say? The man is extremely busy these days but he managed to hint at Loki’s future. So far, Loki has appeared in both of Thor’s films and the first Avengers film where he wreaked havoc on New York City. We are to see him next in the third Thor film titled Thor: Ragnarok. However, although excited, Tom hinted this may be his last stint as the meddlesome god “Thor 3 will be cool because I’ve not done it for four years. I love working with Chris [Hemsworth]. This will be my last time out of the gate.”

It seemed like a definite declaration but the actor later qualified his comments. He also commented on whether he would be popping up in Avengers: Infinity War but he said that even the current MCU members don’t know what is going to happen and have no idea about the future of their characters.

“I don’t know! Honestly, I don’t know,” he told The Daily Beast. “They haven’t got their ducks in a row yet. They make it up as they go along.”

Well, hopefully Thor: Ragnarok won’t be the last time we see Loki!

In the meantime, you can watch Tom Hiddleston give a weather forecast below!

Tom is currently in the middle of a press tour for his latest film, I Saw the Light and stopped by a Chicago News station to deliver the report. Instead of channelling the famous country singer Hank Williams, he delivered it in the style of Loki, blaming all of the bad weather on his brother, Thor!

We just love him and can’t wait to see him return as Loki.

Thor: Ragnarok opens on November 3rd in 2017.
