“Oooh, heavy!” Singer-songwriter and YouTube star Poppy has just revealed more details about her upcoming album and it appears that she is, in fact, going down heavy metal lane even more.
In a recently shared post on her social channels, Poppy announced that her third studio album is titled “I Disagree” and will see the light of day next year, on January 10th to be exact.
The record will be available for pre-order and pre-saving starting this Friday. This day also marks the release date for her new single, which shares its name with the album.
The cover was designed by Jesse Draxler and features a shot of the singer looking rather sinister, all dressed up in a spiky collar and chains. All black and white, with big contrasts, the picture perfectly captures Poppy’s recent musical evolution.

Said change in the singer’s style was first hinted at during “X”, a track on her second studio album. We can assume that “I Disagree” will follow Poppy’s experimentation with the metal genre, based on her previous release, “Concrete”, as well as on recordings made during Poppy’s new live set at the Reading festival.
The track list for the album has yet to be announced. We assume though that “Concrete”, is very likely to appear.

“I Disagree” is Poppy’s first LP to be release via her new label Sumerian Records. She signed to them during the summer, following her departure from Mad Decent after the release of her EP, “Choke”.
“I Disagree” will be available for pre-order on Friday.
