Panic! At The Disco are making their return after 2016’s Death of a Bachelor with upcoming album Pray For The Wicked. The third single to be taken from this album is entitled High Hopes and has just been unveiled to fans.
High Hopes is a typically Panic! At The Disco filled with big vocals, some trumpets and strings thrown in for good measure and a set of really good lyrics. Lyrically this track really does shine with ‘didn’t have a dime but I always had a vision’ is just one example of the positive message being spread. Even when things aren’t going your way it’s important to keep trying and have high hopes to aim for in the future.
Frontman Brendon Urie tweeted about the track explaining a personal insight into the lyrical matter of High Hopes. It makes it an even more relatable and personal tracks for fans to listen to and enjoy as the feelings expressed are familiar to many people regardless if they’re a Panic! At The Disco fan or not.
I spent too long not setting my expectations high enough, worried about how it felt to fail. I hit a point when I realized I had to aim high and fail, fail, fail in order to keep growing. This one is for all of you who helped me go for it all. I thank you.
