Paula Lane shocked all her fans on Twitter last week when she announced in a Tweet that she is to leave Coronation Street this summer.
Paula plays the loveable character, Kylie Platt, who has recently faced a dramatic storyline with the murder of bad boy Callum Logan, after catching him attacking her sister-in-law Sarah Platt.
Paula’s tweet read: “So it’s official, I can now confirm I’m leaving Coronation Street this summer after a wonderful 5 years. It’s time to fly the nest…”

Fans responded to the tweet in a surprised, but much supportive way.
The news came shortly after Paula announced she is pregnant with her second child, with husband Tom Shaw.
