THE QUEENS (ALY & AJ)  ARE BACK! 2019 is definitely the year that so many artists are coming back in full force, and we’re all for it. These ladies slayed their performance at The Wellmont Theater in New Jersey, promoting their newest EP, Sanctuary.

And yes, they DID NOT forget the classics either! (See below)

“Rush,” “No One,” “Potential Breakup Song,” “Like Whoa,” and “Chemicals React” were all on the setlist, including new singles such as “Church,” “Sanctuary,” and “Don’t Go Changing.”

One of our favorite things was their merch. They had a shirt with rainbow font that said, “Be every color that you,” which are lyrics from “Rush.” That had to be the most adorable things that we have ever seen. That alone made the building so much more safe and accepting.

We also loved how interactive both Aly and AJ were. Aly grabbed something from a fan so they could both sign it on stage, and they made sure to come up to fans to touch their hands while singing on stage.

It’s all of these little things that make a show special, so we’re extremely happy that they interacted so much with the crowd. There’s no doubt that there were smiles on so many faces after the show, because we sure had one.

My name is Melanie Gomez (25) and I graduated with a BA in print journalism with music management as my minor. I loved music since I was a kid because it was always a way my family and I bonded, as well as a way to express myself on my own time as I got older. I’m not a singer and I don’t play an instrument, so my way of being part of the music industry is by getting to write about the music I love in various reviews and through my concert photography. Another goal? To make people smile.
