Produced by Joshua Luke Smith, ‘Waiting For A Change’ was recently released on UK-based independent label Orphan No More. The track showcases a refreshing honesty which will resonate with anyone who feels frustrated at not being where they want to be in life. However, instead of dwelling on the situation, ‘Waiting For A Change’ is a courageous anthem which will fill you with hope and strength. Between Rachel’s hypnotic vocal and the rock-tinged vibe, the track will leave you feeling both mesmerised and empowered.
Speaking about the track, she said: “This song came out of a season where I learnt that even when you feel so ready to do all that you feel born to do, it’s not necessarily going to happen when you want it to. This song is for anyone needing encouragement in a time of waiting and growing in patience. Keeping holding on and pressing in, breakthrough can happen in a moment.”
As an artist, Rachel has continued to flourish since her debut in 2015. ‘Back of the Wind’, her debut project, gave us a glimpse into the kind of artist Rachel would later become. Full of conviction, her music has always been something of substance, highlighting important messages rather than your bog standard mainstream music.
