Cast your mind back to the early noughties, when R&B music was at a high. One of our favourite singers at the time was Raghav, who lit up the UK charts with tracks such as ‘So Confused’, ‘Angel Eyes’ and ‘It Can’t Be Right’. His album Storyteller sold over 1.3 million copies and spawned 4 UK top 10 singles.
After time away from the industry to become a father and to reconnect with his music, Raghav is back with a hot new track under his belt.
Produced by Steel Banglez (Wiley, MoStack), the multi award winning Canadian singer has unveiled ‘Do You Like’. The track features Raghav’s trademark soulful pop vocals, but has been given an urban twist courtesy of Moelogo, who delivers an unexpected Afrobeats dimension.
The track has garnered a lot of support on UK radio in recent weeks, with 1Xtra (A Dot and Trevor Nelson) and Capital Xtra (E Plus and Abrantee) among those showing their love.

During 2016, Raghav has proven his versatility by recording new material of his own, as well as writing and producing for others, including Fuse ODG. An EP’s worth of work will surface later this year, made up of a collection of tracks with producers Stephen “Di Genius” Macgregor and Oscar winner A R Rahman.
Raghav teamed up with Moelogo for ‘Do You Like’ and we can expect further collaborations from the singer in the future, particularly with artists from the flourishing UK scene. His past collaborations include Labrinth, Redman and Nelly.
‘Do You Like’ marks a new chapter in Raghav’s career. With time to reflect on his life, and becoming a father to little Riya, we’re sure that he has a whole new bundle of experiences to draw inspiration from. Whilst ‘Do You Like’ is full of timely summer vibes, we’re also excited for what else Raghav has to offer us this time round. Expect further announcements from the singer very soon.
