It was announced today, Tuesday 1st March 2016, that the final day of Reading Festival 2016 will see both Fall Out Boy and Biffy Clyro take to the stage and co-headline the festival as they close the weekend.

Alongside these headliners a staggering 61 more acts were announced, including Jack Garratt, Chvrches, The Vaccines, A$AP Rocky, Haim and The Wombats to name a few. Previously announced acts include headliners Disclosure and Foals (co-headlining on Friday) and Red Hot Chili Peppers, as well as The 1975, Twenty One Pilots, Imagine Dragons, Two Door Cinema Club and many, many more. The official poster below shows the breakdown of the line up so far.Reading Festival 2016: Biffy Clyro and Fall Out Boy Set to Co-Headline 1This line up still isn’t complete, with a huge amount more to be announced. Last year saw way over 150 artists perform across eight different stages at Reading Festival during the August bank holiday weekend.

Biffy Clyro last took to the Reading Festival stage back in 2013, after their most recent album release of ‘Opposites’ in January 2013. Could this possibly mean Biffy Clyro are in the works of releasing a new album before Reading Festival 2016 this August? Many shots of them on their Instagram shows different shots of the band in studios, suggesting they’re recording and producing new material…we can only wait and see!

Fall Out Boy also last performed at Reading Festival in 2013. Their last album, titled ‘American Beauty/American Psycho’, was released in January 2015. Many fans had anticipated Fall Out Boy to perform at the festival last year, however that didn’t happen, despite the gap between their American and European tour dates of the ‘American Beauty/American Psycho Tour’ in 2015. 2016 will be the first time the four-piece rock band will have brought their latest album to Reading Festival.
