Louise draws to a close her incredible year in music, with the release of her latest single, Hammer – a fiery, uptempo stormer of a track that is sure to pack dance-floors and set party playlists alight throughout the festive season!

Co-written by Louise along with Chiara Hunter (Sigma, Take That, Cheryl), Tim Deal (Tom Walker, Lily Allen) and Hannah Robinson (Kylie, Foxes), and produced by Hight, the track serves as the 6th single to be lifted off of Louise’s hotly anticipated fourth studio album Heavy Love, out January 17th 2020.

“Tell me you can feel this open invitation…“

From the opening sounds of distorted synths and Michael Jackson-esque percussion based, beat-like rhythms – Louise’s rich, velvety vocals immediately pull focus the moment she begins to sing, delivering the tracks lyrics with a sass and steely confidence that most other pop girls can only dream of.

Instantly enticing, enigmatic and irresistibly alluring, there’s an undeniable feeling of anticipation and yearning that pulsates and swells throughout the song – with it’s contagious, powerful and all encompassing feel and slick production.

“Always on the run – from who we were, who we’ve become…”

As the track transitions from verse to bridge, the pace and mood shifts and builds to climatic effect, as all hell breaks loose during its fiery, staccato sing-along chorus complete with tight, layered harmonies and swirling, brass instrumentation.

Sultry, sexy and seductive, Hammer is Louise at her most confident – sounding fresh, feisty, fierce and FULL of attitude!

“‘Hammer’ is one of my favourite tracks on ‘Heavy Love’. It’s got a real old school vibe and shows a real diverse side to the album.”

    Louise

A little bit funk, a little bit R&B, a little bit classic 90’s pop – Hammer successfully fuses together an eclectic mix of musical genres, that combined, creates an intoxicating style and vibe that not only excites, but straight up delights – it’s retro yet current, edgy yet timeless – it’s FIRE!.. and how ALL pop music should sound in 2019.
