Picture This – made up of members Ryan Hennessy and Jimmy Rainsford, accompanied by a live band – played Belfast’s SSE Arena on Friday 27 October. The Belfast tour date also represented the first date of their UK and Ireland headline tour.

Here at CelebMix, we were fortunate enough to be able to attend the gig. Check out our review of the show below!

There were two support acts: Catherine McGrath and The Coronas, who ensured that the crowd were fully prepared for Picture This taking to the stage.

    Catherine McGrath

First to take to the stage was Catherine McGrath, whereby she performed several of her original tracks. In particular, her popular track ‘Talk Of This Town’ was extremely well received by the audience. The incredibly talented singer-songwriter is no doubt destined for continued success in the music industry, and we can’t wait to hear more original music from her!

    The Coronas

Next to take to the stage were Irish band The Coronas – made up of members Danny O’Reilly, Conor Egan, Graham Knox and Dave McPhillips – who performed several of their original tracks. Just like Catherine McGrath’s set, they really got the crowd going. Their dynamic set had the crowd singing and dancing along, ensuring they were fully prepared for the main act.

It was then time for Picture This to take to the stage. They began with the popular track ‘Let’s Be Young’ and their set contained many of their classics, which include ‘Jane’, ‘Saviour’ and ‘Addicted To You.’ They ensured that the crowd were as fully involved in the show as possible, with a lot of crowd interaction. There was one part of the show in particular whereby the whole band came and performed several tracks on a stage that extended out into the crowd.

The band’s energy throughout their set never faltered, and their high-energy performance truly made it an unforgettable night. We don’t want to give away too much, but if you have the opportunity to see the band live, you should definitely take the chance!

Picture This truly took fans on a musical journey, performing older tracks, but also their newer ones. Every single track was extremely well received by the crowd. For the final song, the band performed ‘Take My Hand’ – the atmosphere in the room was phenomenal. Looking around the arena to see 10,000 people with smiles on their faces, singing and dancing along, ultimately sums up what these gigs are about.
