Former ‘X Factor’ contestant Ryan Lawrie, who appeared on the most recent series of the show, finishing in sixth place, kicked off his second headline tour, titled the ‘Perfect Picture’ tour, in Belfast on Wednesday 9 August. The remaining tour dates will see Ryan travelling to Manchester (11 August), Newcastle (12 August) and Glasgow (13 August).

Here at CelebMix, we had the opportunity to see Ryan at the Belfast date – check out our review!

There were two support acts: local singer Sara-Louise Hutton and Robbie Coles. First to take to the stage was Sara-Louise, and her vocals are absolutely breathtaking. She possesses a true talent, and definitely one to watch out for! She did covers of popular tracks such as ‘Photograph’ by Ed Sheeran and ‘Stitches’ by Shawn Mendes while also performing one of her original songs. Make sure you follow her on Twitter here.

Next to take to the stage was Robbie Coles, who is performing at the rest of the tour dates. His set allowed him to debut some new material he has been working on, while also performing a cover of ‘Teenage Dirtbag’ – which went down extremely well! During his set, Robbie explained the heartbreaking message portrayed in one of his tracks ‘Alive,’ an incredibly powerful song. If you haven’t already, you can follow him on Twitter here.

It was then time for the main act: Ryan Lawrie. His set could be described as a musical journey, whereby he takes those in the audience back in time to original tracks he wrote a few years ago, such as ‘You’re Free’ and tracks written more recently.

There were also some tracks he performed during his time on ‘The X Factor’ – including ‘Perfect’ and ‘Twist and Shout.’ He also performed covers of popular tracks including ‘Slow Hands’ and ‘Perfect Strangers.’ Throughout his set, it was evident that Ryan was back doing what he loves – touring and seeing those who support him.

Nearing the end of his set, Ryan asked the audience if they wanted to hear his new single ‘Perfect Picture,’ set for release at the end of this month. The track is extremely upbeat and positive, and almost represents a different sound for Ryan – but nonetheless one that suits him as an artist.
