UPSAHL performed a sold-out gig in London at The Courtyard. And more importantly, it was her first-ever headline show. A show in which she showed she is a force to be reckoned with who will be headlining many more shows.
Support came from London based Cameron Hayes who was the perfect choice to get the crowd in the mood for UPSAHL, with tracks such as Medicine, the eager crowd definitely came away with a new artist to add to their playlists.
UPSAHL took to the stage just after nine PM much to the delight of the eager sold-out crowd. Singing hit after hit and tracks from her newly released album Lady Jesus.
Money on Mind got the crowd really into the show, followed by Melatonin, crowd favourite Drugs, Lunatic and Douchebag. As well as a spectacular cover of 3 Nights by Dominic Fike. UPSAHL finished her hour-long set with the title track of her album, Lady Jesus.
UPSAHL is an artist that was born to perform. Coming alive on stage, drawing you into the performance and making you feel like she is singing just to you. With lyrics that while deeply personal to her, resonate with the listener and screaming that back at her feel more satisfying and cathartic than any therapy session we’ve ever been to. There is something so powerful and liberating about a UPSAHL gig that makes you feel like you could do anything when you come away from it.
One thing is for sure, this is the start of many headlining shows for UPSAHL, and we cannot wait to see her perform again in the UK in the future.
