Vocal powerhouse ROZES is back with her phenomenal new single, ‘Canyons’.
Following on from ‘Matches’, her recent collaboration with Cash Cash, ‘Canyons’ is a slick dance-pop offering full of feeling. A hypnotic pan pipe synth draws you in immediately, and as expected, ROZES’ unmistakable vocals shine throughout the track.
Lyrically, the song definitely packs a punch. ROZES is without doubt one of the most powerful songwriters in recent years, and we can’t help but feel every inch of emotion especially as she delivers the chorus.
My love, a canyon’s come between us
A river tore right through us
I swear I can’t feel you anymore
Don’t you want me anymore?
Speaking about ‘Canyons’ in our recent interview with her, ROZES said: “The song is about being in a disagreement with someone you care about and even though what you are going through is heartbreaking and the other person doesn’t feel the same way you may feel, it doesn’t mean you are not compatible or that you don’t love each other.”

Having made a name for herself as a featured artist on The Chainsmokers’ ‘Roses’ and Big Gigantic’s ‘All of Me’, it’s great to see ROZES continue to flourish as an artist in her own right. We’re still huge fans of her previous solo single ‘Under The Grave’, which has garnered almost five million streams on Spotify.
As 2017 continues, ROZES is most definitely an artist in demand. Having recently signed with Photo Finish Records, the songstress has been busy working on her solo material in addition to touring and writing for others. She is currently in the middle of a tour with AJR, and will also open for MAX on his 30-city Fall tour. Additionally ROZES has been sharing her talent with other artists, writing for the likes of Louis Tomlinson, Sophie Beem (Beyoncé’s protege) and more.
