Earlier this month, electronic artist Salt Ashes released her funky new single Don’t. Now the music video for the track has broken out in to the world.
The synth-filled track sings of being involved with a guy who wants something a lot more serious than what you want but just not getting the message. The lyrics are brought to life in the video which sees the singer tied up within the chains of love, trying to break free but being pulled back in time and time again. Don’t is an incredibly personal insight into Salt Ashes love journey and desire to not get hurt again. This simplistic video is incredibly powerful and was created by a nearly all-female team with the only exception being the lighting crew! Watch the video below.
Back in 2016, Salt Ashes released her self-titled debut album and in the time since has opened up for the likes of Little Boots and Tove Styrke in her time on the scene. From the female empowerment anthem of Girls to the strong-minded Don’t, it’s no wonder support has been gained from the likes of Spotify, The Guardian, MTV and BBC Radio; Introducing, Radio 1 and 1Xtra.
If you like what you hear then be sure to keep an eye on Salt Ashes socials; Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube as she’s currently working on even more music to be released imminently.
