Members Autumn Harrison and Rodrigo Gonzalez started the band after a trip to Buenos Aires. They started playing in small cafes, but after receiving such a positive response from other musicians, they began to perform on bigger stages, including high profile venues and festivals at SXSW, Los Angeles Times’ Festival of Books, Echo Park Rising, Chinatown Summer Nights and Make Music Pasadena.
They released their first album Say-So in 2009, and their second in 2013 titled Sea Monster. Their third album, Rare Hearts, was recorded in London Bridge Studios in Seattle with producer Eric Lilavois and mixed and mastered by Raymond Richards.
Founding member Autumn Harrison said the theme of Rare Hearts is “exploring the fight everyday against yourself to be able to see what you have around you.”
The album will be available worldwide on April 15, 2017. Its lead single “Telephone” is available now online. Find out more information by clicking here.
Salt Petal will also be performing at the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts in Arizona tomorrow on February 19th.
