Dustin Diamond, best known for his role as Screech in Saved By The Bell, has begun a four-month jail sentence.
The 39-year-old actor was convicted last year following an incident on Christmas Day in 2014. Diamond allegedly stabbed a man in a bar fight, however, he claimed that he pulled the knife to defend himself and then fiancée Amanda Schutz against a group of men.
Diamond was then convicted of carrying a concealed weapon and disorderly conduct, whilst Schutz was also found guilty of disorderly conduct. The pair were also told to pay $1500 to the victim.
Diamond, who appeared on Celebrity Big Brother in 2013, had delayed entering jail for over six months, by filing a motion to appeal in June 2015.
After initially appealing his conviction, Diamond withdrew it last month and following his jail sentence, he will also be on probation for 15 months.
