80s hitmaker Sinitta has announced her comeback to the music industry. She will re-release her massive hit single ‘So Macho’ this July.
The 1980s classic has been reworked and given a 2017 make-over by renowned producer Koercive. The track will be released via independent record label Avenoir Records. The new package will also include a remix by House music star Louie Anderson.
The new version of ‘So Macho’ is set to be a big summer anthem and will also give fans a glimpse into Sinitta’s new studio album, which is currently scheduled to be released this autumn. The upcoming LP, will see Sinitta celebrate her dance-floor roots and is being overseen by Martin West.
Talking about the rework of ‘So Macho’, Sinitta said, “Working with Martin [Koercive] and Andy at Avenoir has given me more than just a new single to release but a new lease of life! I’m coming at you Millennials refreshed and re-energized!”
Koercive, who reworked the entire instrumentation and production of the new version, said “Re-Working the 80s smash hit ‘So Macho’ has been one of the biggest challenges of my musical career! The out-come being a contemporary, yet ahead of the curve dance track that won’t be out of place in any venue across the UK, Europe and beyond!”
Fans will be able to see Sinitta performing the new version of ‘So Macho’ exclusively for the first time on both the Ladies stage in Leicester Square and The Main stage in Trafalgar Square for Pride in London 2017 on July 8th.
