You Me At Six frontman Josh Franceschi wants to help end the resale of concert tickets.
The singer is backing a campaign set out by MP’s to make botnets, the software that buys tickets online to be resold for a profit, illegal.
The frontman’s concern came as a result of fans having to buy resold tickets for double face value.
He expressed his upset over ticket touts to Newsbeat.
‘They’re making money out of real genuine fans of music. They should not be getting ripped off in the process.’
You Me At Six have therefore made some changes as to how they will now be selling their tickets.
GIGS&TOURS stated that the name of the lead booker will now be printed on tickets. In addition, ID will be required at the doors to the venues.
