Last month, Sony Music All Stars came together to record a charity single for a special cause.

A total of 14 artists gathered to record a special version of The Beatles’ iconic track “With A Little Help From My Friends” for a social campaign, the announcement for which was made during the annual Sony Foundation Wharf4Ward event at Woolloomooloo Wharf in Sydney.

    Friends4Youth Campaign

The campaign, titled “Friends4Youth”, was launched by Sony Foundation in an attempt to support “vulnerable” young people in Australia. Sony Music’s Chairman Denis Handlin, while talking about the campaign and the event, said,

“I have seen first-hand how Sony Foundation has positively impacted the lives of so many young people in this country and I am very proud to represent such an amazing roster of artists who have generously given their time for this special project. Sony Music and our artists are so passionate about supporting these incredible young people who have been affected by youth cancer, disability, drug and alcohol addiction, homelessness and displacement. These kids are the unsung heroes and are such an inspiration to us all as they face their immense challenges.”

    Featured Artists

The artists who featured on the single’s recording include Natalie Bassingthwaighte, Kyle Bielfield, Daryl Braithwaite, Anthony Callea, David Campbell, Justice Crew, Cyrus, Tommy Emmanuel, John Farnham, Delta Goodrem, Adam Harvey, Colin Hay, Dami Im, Isaiah, Samantha Jade, Jack Jones, Missy Lancaster, Jess & Matt, Jessica Mauboy, Pete Murray, Human Nature, Olivia Newton-John, Rick Price, Josh Pyke, Johnny Ruffo, Guy Sebastian, Alli Simpson, Mark Vincent and Jai Waetford.

Isaiah Firebrace, who recently participated in Eurovision Song Contest 2017 too was a part of this campaign.

    As reported by Media Week,

“all of the funds received by Sony Music from the sale of the single [will be] donated to the Sony Foundation.”
