Stefano May is a classically trained pianist and vocal powerhouse from Italy who is now based in Miami. His latest release “Hope It Will Remind You” is a reflection on the hardships Stefano has faced first hand from his loved ones who suffer from Alzheimer’s. A tender and melancholy profile on Stefano’s close connection to his father, the single is guided by emotional matter and vibrant memories.
“Hope It Will Remind You” draws together a thunderous and contemplative piano riff that wavers throughout the verses and peaks at each chorus with Stefano’s earth-shattering vocals. The music video touches on the theme of lost memories and uses home video footage of Stefano and his father playing music together and holding each other to offer an inside window on the deep bond they share. The vintage footage is displayed in color and contrasts with the black and white filter over Stefano’s current reality as he wanders through the woods and seeks clarity. Stefano offers an emotional plea as he urges his father to remember him, “Hope it will remind you, always here behind you.” “Hope It Will Remind You” is a heartfelt and personal story of the relationship between Stefano and his father embellished with powerful vocal displays and genuine expressions.
Stefano’s love of music has manifested in many different ways. From composing a film score alongside Jamal Joseph, collaborating with the Italian director Franco Zeffirelli, and moving to Miami to work with the acclaimed producer Chico Bennett (Madonna, Lady Gaga, The Killers, Prince) to make his dreams a reality. “Hope It Will Remind You” is a partnership between Stefano May and the Alzheimer’s Research and Prevention Foundation (ARPF) to raise awareness for the cause.
