With just a few days to go before they sare their fourth studio album ‘Good Years’, UK country crossover duo The Shires have delivered one final taste off the tracklist in the shape of the anthemic ‘On The Day I Die’.
Despite its somber title, the track is sing-a-long anthem that asks to celebrate a life well lived filled with love, hope, and dreams rather than crying over the ending – it’s one that makes you think about everything within your own personal circle of loved ones whilst also making you want to dance and just let go.
Crissie Rhodes takes the vocal lead and her soaring, sweet tone elevates the lyrical message to beautiful heights and allows for the production and melody to shine. This will no doubt become a huge fan favourite especially when performed live by The Shires during their forthcoming UK tour.
And along with sharing ‘On The Day I Die’ today, and the ‘Good Years’ record on Friday, the British record breakers have also dropped their Greatest Hits album – the new project is released by their former label home Decca and includes multiple hits from their career so far along with exclusive tracks that have never been included on a CD disc before.
‘Good Years’ follows on from the 2018 standout chart hit ‘Accidentally On Purpose’ and marks the start of their new musical chapter with BMG Records since parting ways with their Decca family.
The new album is available to pre-order right now and tickets for their UK headlining tour are also on sale now via theshiresmusic.com
