Time is back with their fifth annual roundup of the ’25 Most Influential People On The Internet’ and has released the unranked list which was published on July 16, 2019, on their website.

All the contenders have been evaluated on the basis of their global impact on social media and their overall ability to drive news, whether they’re breaking records with music, using satiric language on Twitter to catch attention, or paving the way for women all over the world. And as always, we saw the name of mega musicians securing positions on this high profile list, namely Ariana Grande, Lil Nas X, and BTS, among many others names this year for 2019.

Ariana Grande has been dominating the Internet with her large fan following. After going through tough times in the past months, she has released some of her most personal and vulnerable music in the form of her ‘Thank U, Next’ album, which has been ranked as the most popular album in the U.S, only a few months after her Grammy-winning 2018 album ‘Sweetener’. And since then, her fans have been feeling more connected to the singer than ever before. Grande actively participates on Twitter to connect with her fans. She has been touring and delivering emotional performances, which have garnered attention not only from the fans and media but also the general public. Ariana Grande recently became Instagram’s most-followed musician, giving her a BIG platform for a total of 223 million followers across Instagram and Twitter.

Recently, Ariana Grande has unveiled her Vogue cover story along with the latest music video for the track “In My Head” (produced and directed by Vogue) featuring her fashionista side with her iconic style – thigh-high boots and infamous long ponytail while taking us through her ‘mind’. She was also starred in Givenchy’s new campaign.

Comes next, BTS, South-Korean pop group who has undoubtedly taken 2019 by storm, all thanks to their million fan base called “ARMY” that keeps building hype and promoting the group’s content online. Counting to their accomplishments, they have released three Billboard No. 1 albums in a single year; debuted the “Boy With Luv” music video, which built a record 75 million views in first 24 hours; and collaborated with artists such as Charli XCX, Zara Larsson, and Juice WRLD on a mobile game where the fans play the role of their manager. The application topped the Apple App Store charts in various countries. In addition to the soundtrack, they also became touring superstars after grossing over $50 million from just eight shows in May this year, marking the biggest one-month total of 2019 so far.
